Adaprox Motion Sensor detects human movement with passive infrared technology. It connects to a Zigbee network and is able to send instant notification to the user when it is activated by a movement detection. With Adaprox cloud services, the low-energy sensor can be part of the smart scenes and provide essential trigger conditions for home automation.
Adaprox Home App is the mobile platform for controlling Adaprox devices. You can search "Adaprox Home" in the mobile application store to install the App.
Rotate the battery cover anticlockwise to open. Then remove the battery insulation film to power on the product, the red LED will flash slowly for self-checking.
After powered on, the product will enter self-checking state and the red LED will flash for 60s.
Press the reset button for 5 seconds then release, the device is ready to be paired when the green LED flashes.
Open the App and click the "+" button on the upper right corner, then click the sensor button in the "Add a device" panel and follow the instructions in the app to pair the device.
When the sensor is paired, when human motion is detected, the red LED is on and the sensor will send an alarm signal. You can long press the device button in the main page of the App to inspect sensor status and view alarm history.
Install the product where persons may be detected to cross. It is recommended that the product is about 2.2m above the ground, as shown in the following figure.
The automation function is available in the App to connect different devices. Each automation contains a series of trigger conditions and target actions. The target actions will be automatically triggered when the conditions are met.
To set up an automation, click the “+” button in the upper right corner at the automation page. You can use the sensor as a trigger condition and create target actions with other Adaprox appliances.
Ensure that there is no obstacle in front of the product's lens. Otherwise, the detection result may be inaccurate.
After an alarm, if continuous motion is detected, the sensor won’t send an alarm signal. Until there is no motion detected for 1 minute, the sensor restores to normal status.
Wireless distance between detector and gateway will be shortened if there are obstacles such as walls.
Install the product away from objects that may cause temperature changes, such as the air conditioner, fan, refrigerator, and oven and do not expose the product to the sun.
